A fun and creative summer with great company.

Summer Together — for everyone who wants to enjoy the summer in good company. Together we’ll cultivate soft skills and imagination, and experience the joy of creation through contemporary art projects using a variety of techniques.

Every Wednesday
7:00–9:00 PM

  11 June: Kinusaiga
We learn the Japanese art of fabric, creating our own project with fabric in the style of traditional Japanese art, also known as silk or fabric painting.

 17 June: Nature Nestling Embroidery
Using materials from nature and handmade paper, we create a contemporary art masterpiece by capturing the freedom of symmetry.

 24 June & 1 July: String Art
Nails, a frame, counting, thread — and we create beautiful patterns. We’ll need two sessions to complete the designs we choose.

 8 & 15 July: Carpet Hooking
In two sessions we’ll create our own small rug by weaving colourful threads. The rug will be approximately 50cm × 37cm. We’ll share ideas on how to turn it into a cushion too.

 22 & 29 July: Resin Casting — jewellery casting with resin
We’ll mix the resin and add colours, materials, and whatever else we’d like to preserve in a piece of jewellery (a pendant and earrings). We’ll leave them to cure and the following week we’ll do the final finishing touches — and be ready to wear them!
