TerrArte

The TerrArte company is a non-profit organization based in Thessaloniki in Northern Greece. It operates the Lemon Art Studio, where art, culture and community activities for all ages take place. It organizes and produces all kinds of artistic work, educational and cultural activities related to its purposes.

The company is centered mainly and primarily in artistic expression, research and education. It raises awareness in contemporary social, cultural, historical, touristic and environmental interests, through the organization, production and realization of all kinds of political, artistic and educational events. In particular, the purpose of the Company is: 

• Artistic expression, research, performance and education.
• The highlighting, presentation and promotion of issues and problems of all aspects of social and cultural life in Greece and the world, through artistic expression and performance.
• The promotion of artistic expression, a healthy lifestyle and well-being, as well as supporting fragile or vulnerable social groups through the Company’s events-actions, with an emphasis on combating their social exclusion.
• The special support and guidance for individuals and groups that are subject to discrimination, harmful behavior and/or attacks, indicatively and not limitingly, in terms of their nationality, gender, sexual orientation. 
• The improvement of the modern urban condition and the achievement of a sustainable environment, especially through interventions in the public sphere and alternative uses of public space.
• The communication, contact and cooperation with artists, creators, groups and collectives, who are active inside and outside the Greek territory and contribute with their work and action to the improvement of the modern urban artistic, educational and social condition.
• The cooperation with state organizations and bodies, in Greece and abroad, with the aim of developing common programs and actions for culture, tourism, education, sustainable development, but also to create appropriate conditions for the mobilization of human resources, volunteerism and the creation of human capital.
