After more than 20 years of experience in children’s camps and recreational activities we have designed a unique summer art school for this summer in Thessaloniki, based on the arts.
The Summer Art School is aimed at preschool, primary school and adolescent children, with sections structured according to the age groups of the children
The activities are linked to the theme of the week
Our educational tools are drawn from various pedagogical methods and educational approaches and are applied to the subject of the arts we work on each week
It starts on June 16, with a short break in August, and lasts until September 5. The nine thematic weeks are self-contained, without it being necessary to attend all of them. A flexible program is provided, as the option of attending all or some of them is given, as well as a choice of four different morning time slots for the preschool and elementary school sections.
Children are taught techniques and experiment with examples from the performing, fine and applied arts. The daily program includes familiarization with the subject, approaching the topic with constructions, experiential play, experimentation and activities such as drawing, acting, music, storytelling, modern and traditional dance, singing, movement, video projections, interactive videos, digital games, observation, cultivation of visual perception and more. At the same time, during the program, external activities are also carried out with visits either to museums or to places that enhance the learning and experimentation process and are linked to the weekly theme
The aim of the program is to develop both the children’s fine skills as well as their emotional, cognitive and psychomotor skills and their broader perception. Part of the educational process is to enhance self-esteem and group appreciation, develop individual judgment, respect for the environment and understand diversity.
The cost of participation is:
75€ for each week, in the basic hours
80€ for each week in the six-hour session
85€ for each week at seven-hourly rate;
90€ for each week of the full-time – eight-hour course
A 5€ discount applies for siblings and for registrations made up to ten days before the start of the respective week of attendance. In addition, an 8% discount on the total tuition fee applies for registrations until 30 May.
- Registrations are made up to three days before the start of the week, on Friday, and are made throughout the summer.
- Registrations are weekly and cannot be divided into days.
- The selected schedule is binding for weekly attendance.
- In case of delay in picking up the child beyond the agreed time and more than 30 minutes, there will be an additional charge of 5€ per hour.
- In case of cancellation, the amount paid is not refundable.
- Breakfast and a snack with a drink are provided. For lunch, the possibility is given to heat up the food from home and serve it at lunchtime.
- Every Friday after 12:00 the activities will also be open to parents, feel free to participate.
