Songwriting Seminar

Jazz Piano Teacher Christos Mastrogiannidis (Künst Universität Graz, Austria & Berklee College of Music, Boston USA) is coming to Lemon Art Studio for a two-day songwriting seminar.
The seminar is divided into the following two sections:
- Writing lyrics
- Composing music for songs
The seminar is aimed at:
- People interested in composing songs, regardless of age or musical training.
- Students of Conservatories – Music IEKs who are interested in composing or are already composing songs.
- Composers who want to advance their work to a different level, producers, sound engineers, singers and DJs who want to understand, analyze and compose their own songs.
Writing lyrics includes: Introduction to songwriting, Techniques for writing lyrics, General plan and purpose of the song, Narrative persona and directness with the listeners, Unfolding lyrics, Song forms, Song coherence, Rhythmic placement of lyrics, Rhyme and use of dictionaries, Song stability-instability, Outline and work schedule.
Composing music for songs includes: Melody writing, Rhythm, Melodic line based on chords, Melodic line based on tonality, Melodic line movement – Antistigmatic techniques, Melody against the bass line and riffs, Harmonic series, Chord color, Choosing the correct tonality, Variations-Transformations.
