Yoga for children is an adapted version of yoga for younger ages. It combines poses (asanas), breathing techniques, and various fun games that offer children a pleasant activity. Children discover different ways of physical expression through imitations, either of animals or objects, with an exercise program that is applied in a fun yet functional way.
Yoga for children proves extremely beneficial as it can strengthen many parameters during their physical development at their tender age, such as balance, strength, movement coordination, body posture, mobility. At the same time, it develops concentration and attention span, anxiety management, mental flexibility, and creativity. It improves breathing and sleep while simultaneously enhancing self-esteem and inner peace.
Yoga helps children improve their psychomotor performance and empathy, while being an activity associated with discipline and respect.
