Pindus Art Retreat
Why is the retreat for you

Suitable for actors, dancers, musicians, visual artists and anyone who has learned or wishes to express themselves through art and in contact with nature.
I am not an artist, can I attend the program?
Of course. Routine affects all bodies and all professions. Anxiety and daily anxiety are not just a ‘talent’ of artists. Stress and habit deprive creativity while affecting how we sound and how we move. The social roles we are called to fulfill are an additional burden. We are just people, not roles. At the retreat we don’t need any of these roles. It is you and only you. The benefits of nature are for everyone and we all need our connection to it. Together we will find your own needs and discover the hidden energy that we will re-inhabit within you.
Why the programm is suitable for actors, dancers, musicians, visual and creative artists:
The dancers
- Strengthen their creative control
- Identify and improve their coordination of movements
- Be more efficient, in less painful ways
- Identify stress and musculoskeletal overuse
- Increase energy expenditure control
- Develop expressiveness, readiness and stability

The musicians
- Activating different motor functions
- Becoming aware of motor unilaterality
- Gaining a sense of the Whole in their body
- Conscious care to prevent injuries
- Dealing with a sense of perfectionism or self-criticism

The actors
- More effective motor action & expression
- Learning new skills
- Identifying limits of emotional development and managing speech, screaming
- New perspective on behavioral and emotional experiences
- Creation of new motor behaviors
- Coloration of voice and persuasion in speech
- New data in the observation of oneself and others
- Connection of movement – posture and emotions: emotional changes as a result of motor mobilization rather than through intellectual approach
For single parents or families with children who want to participate but are thinking about it, don’t worry as the Pindus Art Mountain School will take place during the same period and at the same times, where children over 5 years old will do activities both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, in some of the activities, children will be able to be with the adult group. Do not hesitate to discuss this with us.
How will we work
We will walk in the mountain and swim in the river. We will play and walk barefoot on the uneven ground of the riverbed. We will observe and imitate sounds and movements from nature. We will train our fine skills with weaving and wood carving. We will discover the ritual of cooking and the customs of the place. We will make traditional pies with ingredients that we will collect ourselves. We will listen to and tell stories. We will be trained in an open and closed space. We will interact with the local community and its ancestral art. We will visit the traditional stone bridges, a trademark, and the buildings of the area, and we will observe the architecture of the construction, the stone and the wood, we will imitate the dynamics, the stability and the composition of the materials.
